Evelyn Kemper

Evelyn Allen Kemper, age 88, of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. She was born on June 2, 1937, the daughter of James Calvin Allen and Winnie Davis Allen. Evelyn was a proud graduate of Northeast Louisiana State College, now the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She dedicated her career to education, lovingly teaching kindergarten, first grade, and special education throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Walter Young Kemper III. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Katherine Kemper Urick (Forest) of Summerville, SC; Kelly Allyn Kemper Beurlot (Rayland) of Alexandria, LA; Albert Barton Kemper (Angie) of Oakwood, TX; and Walter Young Kemper IV (Carla) of Sterlington, LA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Elaine Allen of Monroe, LA; Malcolm Allen (Virginia) of Texarkana, TX; and Danny Allen (Gerri) of Marion, LA. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Liberty Cemetery in Linville, Louisiana. A memorial service will follow at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
