In Loving Memory of Evelyn “Beanie” Fay Loughner
May 22, 2025
Evelyn “Beanie” Fay Loughner passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with multiple long-term illnesses. Known affectionately as “Beanie” by her family and friends, she brought joy to those around her with her love of flowers, flamingos, family gatherings, and a good crime drama.
Beanie was first and foremost a devoted wife to her husband of 37 years, Mark Loughner, and a loving mother to their two children, Kathryn Rose and Geoffrey Scott. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In the prime of her life, especially after retirement, Beanie could often be found making cheerful small talk in the carpool line or proudly cheering on her children at their many sporting events, scout meetings, and school activities. Her presence was a constant source of warmth and support in the lives of those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, John F. Fay Jr.; her mother, Evelyn B. Fay; her siblings, John F. Fay III, Michael P. Fay, and Patricia Giordano; and her nephews, Anthony P. Fay and Christopher M. Giordano.
Beanie is survived by her beloved sister, Mary Kathrine Fay; her sister-in-law, Patricia W. Fay; Threasa L. Mullican (Eric); Lynn Lightfoot (Michael); and her brother-in-law, Steve Loughner (Camilla). She also leaves behind 14 nieces and nephews, 8 great-nieces and great-nephews, and many extended family members who will continue to honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Beanie’s memory to:
