On Monday, September 12, 2022, Evelyn M. "Evy" (Kipe) Martin, 74, of Stewartstown, passed away at home. She was the devoted wife of Gary Martin for 56 years. Evy graduated from Waynesboro High School in Franklin County. She worked as a secretary for the York County Racing Club, but her passion was sewing. She would sew doll clothes and make repairs to clothes for people, make costumes, and much more. She was a member of the Glen Rock Ambulance Club, Glen Rock Hose and Ladder Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching racing and spending time with her family.
Evy is survived by her husband, Gary; three children, Gary Martin, Jr. and wife Pamela, Angela Williams, and Andrew Martin and wife Kathryn; 6 grandchildren, Scotty, Julia, Brandon, Morgan, Colin, and Haylee; 2 great-grandchildren, Adeline and Lucas; and 2 sisters, Kathy Turner and Donna Marie Kipe. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 1 brother, John Kipe.
Following cremation, services will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to the Glen Rock Ambulance Club, 59 Water St., Glen Rock, PA 17327. Online condolences may be made at www.geiple.com.
