Evelyn R. Minor

Evelyn R. Minor, 92, of Washington, died Monday, November 3, 2025, at Transitions Healthcare after a long battle with dementia. She was born June 7, 1933, in Fredericktown, the daughter of the late George and Mary Tomas Rogan. Evelyn graduated from Beth Center High School and continued her education at Penn Commercial, earning a professional certificate. Her working life included Vestaburg Mine, Millcraft and Christman Trucking. On October 20, 1957 Evelyn married Robert L. Minor, who preceded her in death. During their 62 years of marriage they enjoyed camping, antiquing and in later years visiting their family in Virginia Beach, Charlotte, N.C. or Clearwater, Fla. Evelyn enjoyed a lifetime passion of sewing, crafting many family keepsakes that will be cherished for whom she made them. "Bob" could always be found cutting someone's grass in warm weather or enjoying his hobbies of model railroading and classic cars. Evelyn worked tirelessly for her family, for those who had a chance to know her please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Surviving are son, Scott A. Minor; grandson, Ross Minor; two nephews, George and Michael Rogan; along with a great niece, Madelyn. Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Mark Minor; two brothers, Michael Rogan and George Rogan Jr.; and a grandson, Ryan Minor. All services are private and entrusted to Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington.
