Evelyn Ruth Rumble

Evelyn R. Rumble Evelyn Ruth Rumble, 89, of Fairmont passed away Thursday September 8, 2011 at Pierpont Center in Fairmont. She was born in Green County, Pennsylvania on October 15, 1921, a daughter of the late James and Anna V. (Irey) Phillips. Evelyn was retired from the Davis - Lynch Glass Company in Star City after 25 years of service, working in the decorating department. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Franks of Fairmont, two granddaughters, Kimberly Guillory of Morgantown and Tonya Galway and her husband Rick of Dacula, Georgia, and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Shayne Nichols of Dacula, Georgia. Also surviving is her brother, James P. Phillips and his wife Dara Mae of Huntington, and a loving niece, Norma Friez and her husband Fred of East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert W. Rumble, a son, Michael Petrick, a brother, Irey Phillips, and a great-grandson, Lucas Nichols. Family and friends may call at the Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont on Saturday from 11 am - 2 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 2 pm with Pastor Glenn Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mt.
