Evelyn Russ Obituary
Evelyn Sikes Russ, 100, of Concord passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis.
Evelyn was born March 8, 1923 in Concord, NC to the late Martin and Nora Sikes. She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph Russ (married 57 years), daughter Johnsie Russ Campbell, son Tracy Russ, her brother Lee Sikes, her sisters Martha Brawley, Betty Kluttz and Margie Waddell.
Survivors include daughter Mildred (Billy) Medlin; sons, Ronnie (Della) Russ, Roger (Pam) Russ and Terry (Michelle) Russ; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Dottie Munson.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Transitional Health Services for their kindness and care.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm, in the chapel at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, officiated by Pastor Michael Taylor. Burial will follow at Phaniel’s Baptist Church cemetery located at 2685 Phaniel Church Road, Rockwell 28138.
