Evelyn peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Bessie Guy, and her husband, John Arthur Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory two loving sons, Steve Lewis of Norfolk, VA, and Marvin Lewis (Ollie) of Connecticut; one granddaughter, Christina Clark; and two great-granddaughters, Garcelle Clark and Destiny Clark, all of Connecticut. Evelyn is also remembered fondly by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

To the family and friends, I know there's no word I can say to stop the pain you all are feeling at this time. Mrs. Smith was a very loving lady, listening to her story how her and Mr. Smith was join in marriage was a treat to me. Seeing them together when they both was here made me know that true love did exist once. I'll miss her saying, ( Hi suge) ever time we meet in the hall ect... My heart feel your pain.
