On Friday, November 28, 2025 Evelyn "Evie" Theresa Smith (nee Trozal) of Linthicum, MD passed away suddenly with family by her side. Evelyn is the true definition of a Loving Mother, who loved her children and family tremendously. Evelyn was an Orioles and a Ravens fan. In her younger years, she loved golfing, boating, and traveling to Atlantic City to visit her parents, sister, nieces, nephew and many others.
As a divorced mother, she raised 5 children on her own, and did it with love and conviction. Even when times became difficult, she put her shoulder down and forged ahead. She was a strong, independent, little italian woman that never gave up.
Evelyn was born in Ventnor, NJ, and eventually moved to Maryland when she married. She worked many years at BWI Airport, where she retired.
Evelyn is predeceased by parents Arthur & Agnes Trozal (Trozzolillo), sister Sally Ricciotti, brother Edward (Ado) Trozal, son Gary Smith, daughter Irene Smith, and granddaughter Brittany Keyser. She will be deeply missed by surviving family members and friends, including daughters Linda Smith Wills & Donna Smith, son Brian Smith & wife Kimberly, grandson Timothy Smith & Wife Karen, grandson Trey Keyser & wife Latiza, and grandson Kenneth Wills Sr. (Brittany's husband), granddaughters Mellody & Aleah Smith, great grandsons Kenneth Jr. & Landon, great granddaughters Danielle, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Kendyl & Kristiana, great-great grandsons Cruz, Ace, Jax & Nickolai, and great-great granddaughters Roslyn & Victoria.
Evelyn Smith, we all love you, and "God will make it all okay".
Family and friends are invited to gather at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Glen Burnie, MD on Thursday, December 4, 2025 for her Graveside Service & Interment at 1:30 pm. Arrangements were handled by the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie, MD.
