Evelyn Moore Ussery

Funeral services for Evelyn Moore Ussery, age 83, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto and Rev. Robert Rogers officiating.
Mrs. Ussery was born and raised in Laurens County, Georgia on January 23, 1941. She attended the Lowery School, Condor School and graduated from Dublin High School in 1958. She was a member of Marie Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. She retired from J.P. Stevens & Forstmann after 42 years and then worked for the Laurens County Probate Court for 3 years and afterwards worked part time. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hamons and Lois Clark Moore, sisters, Blondell Scoggins and Polly Clark, brothers, Wendell Moore, Clark Moore and H.M. Moore and her husband, Earnest "Billy" Ussery. Mrs. Ussery passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at her residence.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Terri Lynne (Joe) Raley of Adrian and Sherri Lee (Mike) Howard of Dublin; one sister, Telva Chafin of Ringgold; sisters-in-law, Marianne Moore and Joanne Moore of Dublin and 2 grandchildren, Colby Hunter Manning and Brittany Howard (Christopher) Roof.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Al Scoggins, Brett Padgett, Mark Padgett, Brad Padgett, Jeff Moore and Kendall Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Laurens County Probate Court.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Laurens County CASA, P.O. Box 16322, Dublin, GA 31040.
