Evelyn Florence Webb, age 89, of Burns, Tennessee, passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN surrounded by her family.
Born on August 2, 1936, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Evelyn was the beloved daughter of Sam and Leoma Cress. She spent her early years in Virginia before marrying Jimmy Webb and settling in Tennessee, where she built her life centered around hard work and family.
Evelyn worked at France, Genesco, and later Walmart, where she was known for her warm smile and kind spirit. She loved to travel with her children and cherished every moment spent visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was the heart of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Leoma Cress; her brothers, Bobby and Bill Cress; and her son, Jimmy Webb.
Evelyn is survived by her sister, Brenda (William) Thacker; her daughters, Rita (Sonny) Wanner and Sherrie Webb; and her son, Larry Webb. She was the proud grandmother of Ricky, Shane, Brandie, Taylor, Jana, Ashton, and Tori, and the loving great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren.
Evelyn's memory will live on through the many lives she touched. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones in Heaven, watching over them with eternal love.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Chessor Cemetery in Coble, TN on November 8th 2025 at 11 a.m.
