Everett Campbell

Back when I lived in the Valley in Orange, N.J. and Everett was living in another state we still kept in touch. One late night after we had just gotten off the phone talking to each other - it rang again. I thought it was him calling back. But I was wrong, it was a woman in tears and I could hardly understand her at first...after convincing her that she had indeed reached the Suicide Prevention Hotline I asked her to wait while I got our counselor and she agreed to wait. I called Everett back and put all of us on three-way calling.
Everett was great. he knew exactly what to say and how to say it. The Bible verses flowed from Everett like water and matched everything the woman told us about her problems and answered and addressed all of her problems and concerns. Finally she calmed down and seemed more than relieved, she seemed happy. HER ENTIRE MOOD CHANGED FROM A NEGATIVE MOOD TO A POSITIVE MOOD.
She said that she felt better, than she thanked us, assuring us that now she would be alright. We made sure that she had both of our phone numbers, she thanked us again and we said, So long.
After we hung up with her we were shocked at all of the coincidences. Back then we spoke from time to time but we didn't speak every week and we had just hung up the phone after discussing scripture, the same scriptures that answered her questions and gave her the answers that she needed and then this woman called me by mistake and that he was able to help her so much.
And Everett told me that was just about to go to bed and he said that he never would have heard the phone ring if he had gone to bed. But for some unknown reason he had hung around near the phone. We concluded that God had arranged it all for us to help this woman.

I still believe that God had arranged for her to talk to us, especially to Everett. And I believe that God still has work for Everett to do and that I will see him again.
