Death Notice

Everett Nathaniel Fleming Jr.

1944 - 2023

Everett Nathaniel Fleming, Jr., 79, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, went home to his Lord and Savior on October 3, 2023. Born March 4, 1944, in Neptune, New Jersey, he was the only son of ten children gifted to the late Everett Nathaniel Fleming, Sr. and Pearl Harvey Fleming.
Everett, affectionately called "Juney" or "Ev" by his family, loved working with his hands from an early age. He loved assembling model cars and working in the family's garden with his father and grandfather. He also loved singing with his early boy band and later used that talent to sing in church choir. Later in life, he especially loved the weekly prayer calls with his sisters, and daily trash talking with his children and grandchildren.
Everett played baseball in little league and high school, and he would have had an opportunity to play professional baseball if not for a bout with polio. He always wondered where his life would have gone if not for the polio. He spent his later years devoted to God and never turned down an opportunity to share his love of God with others, especially during his times in dialysis.
Everett was an active member and Deacon of Lighthouse Community Church up until his illness where he also served in the Mens Ministry and sang with the Men's choir.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sonia Kenny; bonus sons, Robert Mobley, Sr. and William Mobley, Jr.; sisters, Alice Jean Beatty, Alma Lattimer, Francis Mae Fleming and Carol Hicks; and the love of his life, Valryka (Ricky) Yuzetta Mobley.
