Everett Kimball Obituary
Everett "EV" Theo Kimball passed, unexpectantly, with family by his side on November 3, 2025.
Born in 1932, Everett is the son of the late Theo G. and Evalyn P. Kimball. He honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Cold War from February 1954 to December 1957 and was stationed throughout Europe including Couvron, France. He received an early out to finish school at the University of Nebraska (using the G.I. Bill) and received a BSEE in Electrical Engineering. He also played baseball as a pitcher for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers.
On February 7, 1953, Everett met and married Faye Lund in Lincoln, Nebraska who was a remarkable nurse taking care of his father. His job took him to Southern California where from 1960–1970 he worked as an Electronics Engineer at Naval Ordinance Laboratory at Corona, Calif. Everett transferred to Pacific Missile Test Center at Point Mugu, Calif in 1971 and worked there until 1994. Everett's responsibilities included the maintenance of electronic systems including transmitters, receivers, relay equipment and antenna arrays.
Everett's favorite part of his career was designing and operating airborne telemetry systems on a P-3 Naval Test aircraft. His P-3 telemetry systems were used to record sensitive data at various missile test sites around the world. Some of the job sites included Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands and Barking Sands, Hawaii.
In addition to his BSEE from the University of Nebraska, he also earned a Master's Degree (MS) in Business Organizational Management and a Master's Degree (MBA) in Business Administration from the University of Laverne.
Everett was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, backpacking and hiking with his family and friends in the Sierra Nevada's. Mountain climbing peaks like Mount Ritter and Mount Banner were added to his list of conquests. He also skydived, scuba dived, and swam with the sharks in Kwajalein.
He was very close to all of his children and grandchildren. Attending his grandchildren's many sporting events with our mom, Faye, later in life was their favorite thing to do. He is a legend amongst his family and we are very proud of him. He built a great life for himself and his family whom greatly benefited from his many journeys and successes. His family absolutely loves and respects him.
Survivors include four children, Debbie (Curt) Rothschiller of Camarillo, Calif., Bob (Anne) Kimball of Camarillo, Calif., Steve (Lori) Kimball of Fair Oaks, Calif., and Scott (Chris) Kimball of Scottsdale, AZ. Ev had nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Nick (Kat) Kimball, Hannah Kimball, Kyle Rothschiller, Jake (Paula) Rothschiller, Brooke Rothschiller, Morgan Kimball, Madison (Spencer) Kimball-McKinney, Chase Kimball and Carter Kimball. His great grandchildren are Cameron and Mackenzie Kimball. Ev has a sister, Karma Blonqewicz, and three nephews.
Though our hearts hold deep sadness now, we also hold the blessings of the love and joy Dad "Gampy" gave us which will be a part of us forever. We miss you and love you both, Mom and Dad.
Everett's graveside memorial service is at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo.
