Everett Duane Larsen, a bright spark who shared his infectious joy with all those around him, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023. In his far-too-short time on this earth, Everett made a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him.

Born prematurely to Doug and Amy Larsen, on April 22, 2015, Everett was a fighter and quickly grew into a larger-than-life personality, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched.

From first days at Fort Lincoln Elementary, Everett was a force to be reckoned with. He fearlessly tackled challenges head-on, both in the classroom and on the playing field. His love for sports shone brightly as he participated in flag football and t-ball.

Beyond his athletic endeavors, Everett cherished the company of his neighbors and their children, forming lifelong bonds and shared memories. He was often the center of attention with his small stature hiding a larger-than-life presence that brightened the days of all who were lucky enough to call him a friend.

But it was not just sports that drew Everett’s attention. Everett was an avid fan for all types of games, whether that be video games or board games. Everett, together with big brother Christian, spent countless hours playing Fortnite. If it was not video games being played, Monopoly was the main game of choice. But that choice had recently changed over the past couple of months, with The Game of Life becoming Everett’s new favorite.

Everett’s zest for life knew no bounds. Whether exploring the neighborhood, creating playful chaos at the hotel, or engaging in friendly sibling banter with his brothers Christian and Dylan, Everett lived with boundless energy and enthusiasm. Amidst the typical sibling squabbles, an unbreakable bond between Christian, Everett, and Dylan flourished, with Christian serving as Everett’s loyal protector. He displayed a special admiration for his oldest brother, Dylan, whom he looked up to as a role model.

Everett is survived by his brother, Dylan Stevens, Mandan; paternal grandparents, John and Carleen Larsen, Granville; maternal grandmother, Shelly Haugan, Mandan; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
