Everett Gerwin Moore, age 85, a native Brown County, Indiana and a resident of Freetown, Indiana, passed away on March 1, 2023 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on June 24, 1937 to the late Robert Moore and the late Tobitha (Cross) Moore. He loved fishing and being a CB operator and and used the handle "Hornet Catcher". He was a quiet man and man of few words. He is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Betty (Spurgeon) Moore of Freetown, Indiana, one son, Bobby Moore of Columbus,Indiana, two daughters, Ruth Ann Crane and her husband Ken of Fort Meyers, Florida and Rebecca Fiesbeck of Safe Harbor, Florida. Three step daughters, Carolyn Sawyer of Seymour, Indiana, Kimberly Skaggs of Kurtz, Indiana and Patty Roll and her husband Ric of Benton, Arkansas. Nine grandchildren and numerous great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Pam Stigdon and one brother, Ray Moore two step sons, Mark Fish and William Fish.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jon Lawson officiating. He will be laid to rest at Houston Cemetery.
Funeral Services will be live streamed on the Christensen Family Funeral Facebook page for those that are unable to attend.
