Everett “Ev” Raymond Olson, age 85, was welcomed into the arms of angels on Thursday, January 1, 2026. He was born on May 6, 1940, in Murray, Minnesota to the late Fredrick and Ellen (Finstad) Olson. He was a 1958 graduate of Westbrook High School in Minnesota.

Ev was a sports fan, and enjoyed watching his Minnesota Vikings play along with other teams. He enjoyed being outdoors, and spent many summers camping in and around the state. He was also very interested in preserving his roots, taking many trips to Norway, his family’s ancestral country. Ev loved spending time with his large extended family. On July, 12, 1986, he married the love of his life, Jane Fall, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Together they traveled across the United States and to Norway, and spent many warm winters in Texas. He was a doting father and grandfather as well. Ev will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Everett is survived by his loving wife Jane, and their children Jim (Lynn) Olson, Monica (Dave) Wilde, Narla (Jeff) Jambers, Jeff (Patrice) Olson, Julie (Brian) Smith, and Jean (Tom) Hoyt. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and his brother Alfred (Dixie) Olson.

In addition to his parents, Ev is preceded in death by his son Michael Brunmeier and his brother Robert Olson.

A funeral service will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1810 N. 13th St. in Sheboygan, on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Matthew Shive officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth immediately following services.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
