You are truly missed by all who knew you Marty, taken way too soon. Will never forget Marty explaining to me the impact of bonds after the 1987 stock market tumble, a lesson in finance by a knowledgeable expert.

Marty. Your time on earth was far too short but you left a lifetime of great memories. I will never forget the days we spent at Bear. RIP Marty.

It has been 20 years since Marty´s tragic death. Every year since on this date I am reminded of his kindness to a new kid starting 4th grade at Old Post Road school.... My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

On 9-11-13 I was given Everett's name to wear on my helmet at the 2 Million Biker Ride to DC. I rode from Deltona, FL approximately 830 miles from DC. I was humbled by the honor. I thought his family and friends might like to know.

Catherine and Proc, you are in my prayers a little more in September than other times during the year. Please know that the Turners are thinking of you during what I am sure is a very difficult time.

Love your cousin,

I've put off writing anything about Marty because I've always felt that I would not be able to express myself meaningfully enough about him. I met Marty when I was in high school and as a good friend of his sister Mary, I was a bit in awe of her big brother who lived and worked in the big city of New York. I was a kid living in the small town of Walpole. How ordinary! But I looked forward to his visits because as I got to know him, he was just a person, nothing fancy, just a thoughtful guy we could sit and talk to forever, someone to laugh with(and boy, did we!), and then someone I missed when he had to leave. There was always Marty's next visit home to look forward to. I feel truly blessed to have had him as a friend and I will always hold dear in my heart our silly slow dance at Mary and Grif's wedding.

I went to college with Everett. I was shocked and saddened 6 years ago when I found out he was among those killed on 9/11. He was a good guy and did not deserve this kind of ending. My deepest sympathies to those who loved him.

My deepest condolences to the family of Marty Proctor on this the 5'th anniversary of 911. I was his colleague at Cantor Fitzgerald in London. The last conversation I had with Marty was on the morning of 911. I still remember finishing the conversation with him only to hear a couple of minutes later that a plane had hit the building. I desperately tried calling him back but alas the phone lines were cut-off. I never actually met Marty. He was due to come over to London to visit us in the third week of september which I was looking forward to. However, I will always remember him and the brief conversation I had with him that morning. Once again my deepest respect and condolences to his family and friends.

To the Proctor Family:

My deepest condolences on your loss. Marty hired me at Bear Stearns over 20 years ago and we had remained good friends from then on. He always spoke so well of his family and you were his life. He will always remain in my thoughts and prayers. The only comfort is that I know I have a good friend in heaven.

Sincerely, Lisa Loffreno

A friend of my younger brother Ross, Marty was always a lively, impish guy----I didn't know him well, but the fact that some kid from the little town of Walpole was impacted by this terror attack proves to me that we were all targeted that day....May this 1st anniversary of that day be peaceful...but may we never forget the small town boys like Marty who toiled in NYC

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Marty.

I knew Marty for a number of years and had the pleasure of working with him as one of his many headhunters. It was always a pleasure to speak with Marty. I found him to be a very bright, ambitious, dedicated, and intellectually humorous person. I am very sad that he is no longer with us. I will miss our conversations greatly. He always put a smile on my face when we spoke. He will be greatly missed.

My fondest memory of Marty is in St. Petersberg. Crabby Bill's a pitcher of beer, watching the sun set. Marty making fun of my sun burnt nose. We had the best time down there.

My heart aches.

A short time ago, I drove by Marty's old house here in CT. There was a huge RV parked in the drive and I just laughed thinking how Marty would have been mortified to have such a behemoth in his driveway. I think of him often as the painful reminders of Marty have faded into fond memories. (Memories that make me smile!) He will be missed here in Connecticut.

Our thoughts are with you Marty.

The quiet Connecticut neighborhood where Marty once lived mourns the loss of an intelligent, humorous, and caring individual. We remember the excitement in his voice when talking about a classic film or the new opportunity with C.F. and the take-charge attitude when his furnace went out and the roof leaked. The daily drive by his former house is a constant reminder of an individual taken too soon. Rest in peace friend and neighbor.

We are very sorry for your loss of Everett. Our hearts cry with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
