Everett Weldon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Abbott Funeral Services - Aurora on Oct. 26, 2023.
Everett Ellis Weldon, most recently from Aurora, Colorado returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father on October 25, 2023 at age of 85 from issues related to Parkinsons Disease.
Everett was born in Oregon and spent most of his life in the West living in primarily in Oregon, but also in Washington, California, Idaho and Arizona. He moved to Aurora, Colorado three years ago to live with his son and family, and to be close to some of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Everett is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. He loved listening to the Scriptures, Gospel based books and music. Throughout his life he loved giving service to others. He wasn't afraid of hard work and sharing his times and talents with others.
In his professional life he had done many things including driving a log truck and as a long-haul truck driver. He loved mechanical things and designed equipment that assisted with food processing that was used in many locations throughout canning operations for his employer. At the time of his retirement, he managed USDA certified cannery in Garden City, Idaho. The food canned in that facility was used to assist those in need and to help members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with self-reliance and food storage. It was also used for humanitarian service throughout the world.
During Everett's life here on Earth he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, cars, telling stories, and spending time with his family. He loved spending time outdoors enjoying nature and watching the local wildlife.
Everett is survived by his children Teresa Fisher, Martin Weldon, Sterling Weldon, Christy Told, Sharee Fisher, Everett Weldon Jr., Xavier McKee, and Jonathon Weldon, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, sisters Shirley Reade, Elise Sharp, and his brother John Weldon.
"And I soon go to the place of my rest, which is with my Redeemer; for I know that in him I shall rest. And I rejoice in the day when my mortal shall put on immortality, and shall stand before him; then shall I see his face with pleasure, and he will say unto me: Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father. Amen." The Book of Mormon, Enos 1:27
