Evie Hayden Obituary

Evie Ann Hayden, 47, of Minetto, passed away on December 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of Kevin L. Bond and Catherine Eileen Smith.
Evie graduated from Mexico High School, where she met the love of her life and husband of 22 years, though together 30 years, Kevin Hayden. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from SUNY Oswego. She was a beautiful spirit who was always joyful, faithful, strong, kind, humble, fiercely loyal, silly, and funny. She had an incredible work ethic, was a problem solver full of love, completely unselfish, and capable of anything she set her mind to. She was always looking to build others up and help wherever needed. She was an inspiration to many, especially her children.
Evie was an artist who loved to draw and an athlete who loved to run. She held many school records in track and field and also played basketball. She loved to block shots. She loved being in the woods and seeing nature and animals, and she loved sledding in the winter. Family game nights were special to her. She loved her pool time and the beach. She was an amazing cook, and everyone asked for her homemade bread ( Momma Bread). She loved going for walks and going to the parks, and she loved her yard sales. She loved the Holidays, especially the decorations and lights. Evie was a faithful woman who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is now with Him. She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church for 22 years, first at Fulton, then Oswego. Her joy came from her faith and sharing it, especially with her 3 children. Homeschooling them for 16 years was something she cherished. Evie loved providing them with a foundation in the Lord and building them up to be salt and light in the world. She loved her children with everything in her and gave herself fully. She faithfully, graciously, and lovingly served her family every day. She was a devoted daughter, mother, and wife. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman.
Evie is survived by her devoted husband Kevin, her beloved children Emily, Joshua, and Cady, her mother Catherine E. (John) Smith and father Kevin L. (Jackie) Bond, her grandmother Betty Lints, her brother Trace Bond and nephew Parker, and her sister Mindy (Kevin) Dumas and nieces Lilly, Amber, and Willow. Evie also leaves behind her mother and father-in-law, Michael and Renee Hayden, and her brothers and sisters in law, Brian(Angie) Hayden and nephew Kyler Hayden and niece Ryleigh Hayden, Phillip(Megan) Hayden and nephew Cole, and niece Ella. Stephanie (Michael) Spicer and niece Alyssa. Christine Hayden and nephew Kenny Orr and nieces Ciara Orr and Mira Kenyon and Andrea Doherty and nephews Jonathan, David, Liam and nieces Abigail, Nora, Aletheia, Eliza Mae, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on December 20, 2025, from 10-1 pm, with a funeral service to follow, at the Oswego Alliance Church, 370 Thompson Road. A reception for the family after the funeral will also be at the Oswego Alliance Church across the road.
