Evon Elaine Lyle, 58, of Alden, MN, passed away on September 3rd, 2024 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Evon was born on June 2, 1966, in Albert Lea, MN, to Jerry and Elaine Jahnke. She grew up in Alden, where she attended school and was active in the community. She went on to attend Golden Valley Lutheran College, Moorhead State and Rochester Community College
Evon had a fulfilling career in childcare, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of many children and families. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her work, as she had a deep love for animals and found joy in caring for them.
Evon is remembered for her warmth, kindness, and deep connection to her community and church. She was devoted to her family and cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Evon is survived by her husband, Doug Lyle, her children, Justine Johnson, Haley(Kleber Silva) and their children Isa and Luma, Shane (Lucia)Johnson and Elynn Johnson, Her step children Emily Lyle (Zach Thoms) their child Evy, Chelsea (Logan) Bullock their son Leo. Her parents, Jerry and Elaine Jahnke, and her brother Steven (Penny) Jahnke and sister LaNelle (Corey) Klanderud, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Doug Johnson.
A celebration of Evon's life will begin with a visitation on Friday, September 6th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home, Albert Lea, followed by the service on Saturday, September 7th, at 11:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
