Examina (Cribe) Faustin, 96, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at UMass Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Examina was born on June 14, 1928, in Petit-Goâve, Haiti, the daughter of the late Esprira Cribe and Uvela Dauphin. She came to Worcester in 2003 and had been a resident ever since.
While in Haiti, she was deeply involved with the Church of God in Christ, where she served as Second Lady and a missionary. Examina was also a self-taught entrepreneur, running a business selling merchandise, fabrics, and other goods. She had a generous spirit and loved helping others, often providing food to those in need, including individuals in jails, the homeless, and patients in hospitals.
Examina is survived by four sons: Prospere Faustin of Florida, Alphonse Faustin of Boston, Jacques Faustin of Worcester, and Remy Faustin of Worcester; two daughters: Chantale Robert of Worcester, with whom she lived, and Esther Faustin of Worcester; an adoptive son, Roudy Marcellus of Haiti; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Alpha Faustin; two sons, Frenel and Wesner Faustin; two daughters, Yvette Faustin and Florence Faustin; one brother; and six sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. at the Evangelical First Haitian Baptist Church of Worcester, 60 Ellsworth St., Worcester, MA. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th, at 8:00 a.m. at the same location, followed by Entombment at Saint John’s Cemetery Mausoleum in Worcester, MA.
Reception will follow right after at St. Mary’s Syriac Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Dr., Shrewsbury, MA
