Exielena Green Clark, the daughter of Dolena McLester and Walter Green Sr., was born in Anniston, Alabama, on August 31, 1949.
Ex, as she was known to her family and friends, was known for her infectious laughter and a sense of humor that could brighten even the gloomiest of days. Holidays and special occasions were a joyful time for her, as she loved nothing more than gathering with her loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Along life's journey, Ex met and married John Douglas Clark, known as Wookiee, in Boston, Massachusetts. This union was blessed with two sons, Orlandus and Jebreel. Her family would eventually relocate to Atlanta, Georgia. Over the course of her career, Ex spent more than 20 years working for Delta Airlines. Ex embarked on a beautiful journey of faith, rededicating her life to Christ, which brought her immense peace and joy.
Exielena Green Clark entered eternal rest on October 25, 2025, while under the care of Diversicare of Oxford. She was predeceased by both her parents, Walter Green, Sr., and Dolena McLester Green Vanstory, as well as her brother Walter Green, Jr., and her ex-husband John Douglas Clark.
Ex will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Orlandus Clark and Jebreel Clark; grandchildren, Jebreel X. Isaac, Khania Milner, Briana Thomas, and Javon Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Kamia Williams, Ezra Rana, Jahleel Ford, and Indya Isaac; aunt, Isabella McLester Bransford; sister-in-law, Shirley Clark Milton; and a host of cousins and friends. She was assisted and supported by her cousins, Douglas Williams, Denise McLester, Angelia Bransford Pinderhughes Washington, and Vic Rimpsey, and her good friends, Broderick McCloullough and Faye Timber.
As we reflect on her remarkable life, we remember the warmth she spread and the laughter she shared. We celebrate her spirit and her unyielding love for family. May her life remind us all to love deeply, laugh heartily, and live fully.
