Ezra James Schnieders, 23, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 31, 2023. He came into this world May 4, 1999; the last of 3 children and the only boy born to Greg Schnieders and Lusti Alexander. Ezra was watched over and very loved by all who knew him.
Ezra grew up going between his dad's in Centertown and his mom's in Jefferson City. He was a sweet, curious boy who always wanted to know about everything. As he grew up, he developed a love for fishing and being in nature. Throughout his short life, you could find him catching fish, hunting for mushrooms, or looking for artifacts. Ezra was an avid gamer and enjoyed his computer, sometimes for days. He loved playing with his friends as well as being challenged by friends to be!
Ezra graduated from Jefferson City High School in 2017. He was in the varsity choir; he always loved to sing. He was a smart, popular kid who everyone gravitated to. He always spoke on behalf of the one not present, he rarely raised his voice, and he was decent, honest, and fair. He would tell his mom sometimes, "Mom, at the end of the day all there is and all we have is love!"
Ezra loved his Father in Heaven and would tell those in his life to pray about things, turn it over to God. He was right. Ezra loved his family; he worried over all of them but more than any tears, he loved to laugh and he loved to see others laugh too! Besides his friends and family, he loved Zem and together they had a love for animals and for each other so strong it will last for eternity.
He is survived by his parents, Greg Schnieders and Lusti Alexander; sisters, Autumn Sunshine and Mariah Ann; nieces, Lenore Rose and Lorelei Lily; nephew, Jason Randall; and many members of his extended family on both sides, too many to mention.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Park in Jefferson City.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Jefferson City Animal Shelter in Ezra's honor.
