In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Jan was the third child born to Donald Lee Mosher and Annie Eleanor DeWitt on May 18, 1941 in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Jan was a sweet and gentle mother, instilling in her children a love of nature, art and compassion. She will be remembered for opening her home to multiple foster children, her passion for food, and love of her many cats.

She is survived by her sisters, Winifred Anne Jansen and Fredia Louise Sutter of New York, and a sister, Nancy Kathleen Halloway and brother, Charles Martin Mosher of California. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Richard Brown and sister, Elizabeth Brown. She leaves behind her son, Kenneth Norman Capach of Bayard, NM; daughters, Karen Noreen Dietlein of New Hampshire; and Katherine Nadeen Capach of Pennsylvania.
