Fannie Mae Vance, 85, born on March 11, 1940, in Amory, Mississippi, passed away on September 3, 2025, at her residence on 308-108th Street, Amory. She was a cherished member of her community and a beloved matriarch of her family, whose life was marked by grace, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Fannie, whose maiden name was Crump, was the daughter of Archie and Willie Mae Gilleylen Crump, both of whom preceded her in death. Her early years in Amory shaped her into the caring and devoted individual that many came to know and love.
Fannie dedicated her life to her family, lovingly raising three daughters, Marie McIntosh, Dorothy Jean Walker, Angela (Donnie) Hampton; and three sons, Jerome (Terri) Vance, Calvin Oneal Vance, and Chad Everett Vance. The legacy of love and values she instilled in them will continue to resonate through their lives and those of their families.
The community is invited to honor Fannie’s life during visitation at Victory Temple Holiness Church & Outreach Ministry, located at 1200 Victory Temple Dr., Amory, MS 38821, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will follow the next day, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM, at the same location.
Fannie Mae Vance will be remembered not only for her nurturing spirit but also for the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a family that loved her dearly and a community that will forever cherish her memory.
