Father Robert A. Burge

Father Robert A. Burge, age 79. Priest of the Diocese of Cleveland. Son of Albert and Marcella Burge; dear brother of Barbara Baca (John, deceased) and Mary Jane Wheeler (Donald); uncle of John Baca, Gary Baca, Nancy Baca, and Rebecca Globokar (Johnny); and several great-nieces and nephews. Ordained in 1971. Served at St. Ambrose, Brunswick; St. Mel, Cleveland; Sacred Heart, Lorain; St. Adalbert, Berea; Our Lady Help of Christians; Litchfield; St. Anthony of Padua, Parma; and St. Peter the Apostle, Brook Park. Retired 2003. He spent his retirement at Light of Hearts Villa and Jennings Center.

He will be dearly missed by his family and countless dear friends. He never met a stranger. His warmth and kindness touched the lives of so many, inspiring hope and bringing people back to their faith. His presence made a difference in the world, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday January 6, 2026 from 4-7pm at St. John Funeral Home, 923 Broadway Avenue, Bedford OH 44146 and on Wednesday January 7, 2026 from 9-10am at Jennings, 10204 Granger Road, Garfield Heights, OH 44125, where Mass of Christan Burial will be held at 10am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland.
