Faulstine "Tina" Widener Smith, 85, of Seneca, wife of the late James C. Smith passed away Friday, May 10, 2025 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
A native of Aiken, South Carolina, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Jessie A. and Nettie Lowe Widener. She was retired from Clemson University and was a volunteer at Oconee Memorial Hospital. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she helped care for the children in the nursery and the shut-ins from the church. Mrs. Smith was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her nieces: Patricia Gantt, Michelle Driggers, and Pansy Oliver.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her brother: J. P. Widener; and sisters: Violet Pennington, Alberta Vinson, and Mary Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, May 12, 2025, at Davenport Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 4010 Keowee School Rd., Seneca, SC 29672.
The family is at their respective homes.

Faulstine was a delightfull patient.I first met her at the laundry at Clemson '67-71 and she remembered me when I came to Seneca to practice in '76.Despite her health problems I glad she got to live a long life.Sincerely Dr. J R Hanahan Jr.
