Faustine Jones-Wilson

“Combat Scholarship”, was the description Dr. Jones-Wilson penned after reading my graduate course paper and awarding me the graduate fellowship to the Journal of Negro Education. That began two years of rigorous research in the publication field. I was, and am, extremely grateful.

After graduation I was hired by the Fort Worth Texas Independent School District’s Department of Research, and Dr. Jones-Wilson continued to mentor every effort and every project. I was, and am, extremely grateful.

Eventually Dr. Jones-Wilson was marvelously overjoyed when she discovered that we both had previously served as librarians in research institutions, where real combat is engaged in hope for better humanity one individual at a time. Dr. Jones-Wilson served with both grace and gratitude. God Bless, in Deo Speramus.
