Fay Lisk Blackwelder, 89, of Concord, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
Fay was born September 1, 1935, in Cabarrus County to the late Rev. Robert Blane Lisk and the late Annie Elizabeth Blackwelder Lisk. She was also preceded in death by husband, Rev. Robert Eugene Blackwelder; son, Rev. Robin Dwayne Blackwelder; sisters, Eva Ann Blackwelder and Betty Marie Furr; and brother, Rev. Donald Lisk.
Fay worked as a seamstress and retired from Pennsylvania House Furniture. Robert and Fay were married for 40 years. Robert dearly loved and always doted on Fay. Fay was a Christian and loved the Lord. She was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church, where she loved to sing and played the piano. Fay would always dress and look her best for an occasion. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She dearly loved her family. Fay will be forever loved and greatly missed.
Survivors include son, Keith Blackwelder of Concord; son, Rev. Billy (Terri) Blackwelder of Concord; daughter, Muriel Blackwelder Dellinger of Harrisburg; 4 grandchildren, Steven (Christy Bush) Blackwelder, Tracy (Josh) Fowler, Johnny (Sabrina) Dellinger and Joshua Blackwelder; and 7 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cash, Hank, Scarlett, Beau, Silas and River.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm, Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Billy Blackwelder and Rev. Ronnie Hargett. Burial will follow at the Harmony Baptist Church, 5361 Tom Query Rd, Harrisburg.
