Fay DeLong

Mildred Fay DeLong, age 87, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed from this life on March 30, 2026, at the Lifecare Center in Tullahoma. Born on January 8, 1939, in Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Horace Floyd Hasty and Birdie Esther Simpso Hasty. Fay married the love of her life, Oliver Lavergne DeLong, on August 11, 1956. They shared many years together until his passing in 1994. A woman of strong faith, Mrs. DeLong was a devoted member of Living Water Pentecostal Church in Manchester, Tennessee. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers-Daniel Hasty, Houston Hasty, and Jimmy Hasty-and one sister, Rilla Anthony. Mrs. DeLong is survived by her sister, Helen Jones and husband Doyle, as well as a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Known for her gentle spirit and unwavering love for her family, she leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be held in the hearts of those who knew her. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 12:00pm-12:45pm with a graveside service to follow at 1:00pm at Maplewood Cemetery with Jack Kennington officiating.
