Fay C. Efken, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 86 on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Fay was born on October 11, 1935, in Louise, Miss to the late William and Minnie Richardson Cheney. Fay was a kind loving wife, mother, grandmother. She was a member of St, Michaels Catholic Church. She is a retired registered nurse, and whatever she did she did it correctly, she's very dedicated, fun loving easy going, quiet, humble and she never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband Deacon Don Efken, they were looking forward to celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary on November 29th; sons Charles F. Efken and his wife Sylvia of St. Louis, MO, Joel C. Efken and his wife Rhonda of St. Louis, MO and Jonathan E. Efken and his wife Kathleen of Charlotte, NC; 9 grandchildren; sister Lucille Sessions of Vicksburg, Miss several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to make memorial donations in Fays name to the St. Michaels Building fund 542 Cypress Ave. Murrells Inlet, SC. 29576
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church on Saturday, December 4, 2021, with inurnment to follow in the Church Columbarium.
