Fay Leary Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Society of Berks County, Inc. on Mar. 20, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Fay R. Leary, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, who left us on March 16, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on November 8, 1933 in West Chester, Fay was a beacon of warmth, kindness, strength and fun to all that knew her. She dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was always there for us. Fay was a proud graduate of West Chester High (Henderson) class of 1951, where she was a cheerleader, field hockey player and basketball player. She also stayed involved with her high school reunions, catching up with old classmates. She retired from Dupont/Remington where she was a sales representative for many years. She was a Phillies and Eagles enthusiast, always awaiting the start of the season. Home was always West Chester, but that didn't stop Fay from traveling and seeking adventure. Fay's hard work afforded her the opportunity to explore many new places. Her favorite getaway was Freeport, Bahamas. She also loved going on cruises and vacationing with her girlfriends. She enjoyed fond memories made with family and friends. Some would describe her as "full of flair and style" and always having a smile. Fay-zee was one of a kind.
Fay is survived by her beloved children John, Marcy and Beth, grandchildren Colleen, Michael, Kathleen, Korinne and Jeremy. She has 6 great grandchildren with number 7 on the way. Fay was the last remaining member of her immediate family, having been predeceased by her parents Sam and Iva Rice, along with three brothers, Sam, Robert and Gary Rice. Fay was especially fond of her sister-in-laws Judy and Vicki, who are also deceased. During the course of her lifetime Fay acquired so many close friends, some who are gone and some who remain, too many to mention all by name.
Please join us for the celebration of her life held on the 5th of April from 12:00 - 3:30 at the Copperfield Inn at Lakeside, 594 W Ridge Pike Limerick, PA 19468.
