Fay E. Lewis, 92, went peacefully to be with her Savior February 26, 2026. She was at her home and surrounded by family.
Born May 16, 1933, in
Phoenix, Arizona to Vera and C.B. Reddell, she was raised on a farm in Scottsdale, Arizona and was the second child of four children, and the only daughter. She graduated from Scottsdale High School in 1951 and married Tom Hill, whom she met at Eastside Church of the Nazarene. Together, they had three children: Sherry, Sandy, and Tim. She also attended Bethany College in Oklahoma with her husband. They raised their family in Scottsdale, where she played the organ for many years and was the secretary for her church.
They later moved to Leavenworth, Washington in 1969 where Fay began working for the Forest Service. She and Tom bought the Village Pharmacy building in 1972 on Front Street and the first Bavarian style home built by their good friend, Bob Johnson, also in 1972.
Fay became a grandmother for the first time in 1973 and it was a role she adored and took great pride and pleasure in. She had four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren in all.
She returned to Arizona for a number of years and worked for the Maricopa County Judicial System. During those years, she was an active member of Phoenix First Baptist Church, and very involved with family. She also enjoyed attending Mariner's Spring Training Baseball games and was a Phoenix Suns Basketball fan.
She moved back to Washington in 1991, and began remodeling work on the Hill building the following year. Those that knew Fay would reflect on her as being a skilled businesswoman, a funny lady, a charitable and generous person, and a true matriarch of her family.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Vera and C.B. Reddell, brothers, Leroy "Corky" Reddell, John Reddell, and Bill Reddell.
She is survived by her children: daughter, Sherry Moore, granddaughter, Misty Ferrell (husband Tom), great-granddaughter Rebekah Jensen, and great-granddaughter Abigail Fay Jensen, grandson, Zack Moore; daughter, Sandy Chase, granddaughter, Camille Sblendorio, grandson, Nick Brown (wife Susan); son, Tim Hill (wife Cindy Warman-Hill).
The family would like to thank Debbie White, Cascade Medical Center and Fay's medical provider's through Confluence Health and Hospice. Your kindness and care meant everything to Fay our family.
