Fay Elizabeth Moody

Fay Elizabeth Moody, age 91, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born at home in Hamrock, Texas on February 21, 1928, to Floyd and Annie Bell Green. Fay graduated from Italy High School in Italy, Texas, where she was a cheerleader and Valedictorian of her class. At 17 years old, she met the love of her life, David. After knowing each other for only 28 days, they were married in Rockwall, Texas on July 28, 1945 and were happily married for 73 years. She and David loved to travel and went to many places across the U.S. and around the world. The one thing that everyone knew about Fay was that she was always dressed perfectly from head to toe! From her hair to her shoes, she was always, "dressed to the nines!" Fay will be missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by, her parents, Floyd and Annie Belle Green; children, David Moody III (son) and Pamela Gibbs (daughter); sisters, Helen Graves and Doris Perkins. Fay is survived by her husband, David D. Moody; sister, Margaret Schriber; brother-in-law, David Hardison (Marilyn); daughter-in-law, Katherine Moody (Jay Munoz); grandchildren, Randee Moody, Richard Moody (Rachel), Jon Moody (Mary), Gayle Morgan, Candace Gibbs, Travis Moody; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
