Fay Thompson Obituary
Vernon Fay Thompson was born on December 17, 1953 in Wayne County, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Eunis and Frances Thompson.
On June 21, 1974, he was united in marriage to Kim Cummings, who survives.
He loved being outdoors, cooking, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed building things and was an excellent builder. Vernon loved his wife, kids, and grands with all his heart.
Vernon Thompson departed this life for his Heavenly home on September 26, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 9 days.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Cummings Thompson of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Kevin Thompson and his wife Jana of Hampshire, Tennessee and Nick Thompson and his wife Stormy of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kierra Thompson, Tristan Thompson, Caden Thompson, and Hunter Thompson; and brother in law, Edward Franks.
In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie Thompson and Benjamin Thompson and sisters, Glenda Franks, Brenda Eddington, and Linda Thompson.
