Faye Connor March 28, 1932 - April 5, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Faye Connor, who left this world peacefully on April 5, 2025, at the age of 93, in Edgewood, Kentucky. Faye was born on March 28, 1932, in West Liberty, Kentucky, to George and Mary Crase. She lived a life filled with love, grit, and dedication to her family and community.
Faye was preceded in death by her beloved parents, George and Mary Crase, as well as her 11 siblings. She is survived by her three children: Janet Alexander, Charles Short, and Donna Debbeler. Faye was a proud grandmother to Leah Alexander-Angel, Eric (Denice) Short, and Stacey Mier, and a cherished great-grandmother to Andrew (Sarah) Kenton, Anthony (Rachel) Sosby, James Angel, Alexander Angel, Eli Short, Shelby Short, Myranda Conner, Makayla Mier, Xander and Xavier Conner. Along with many nieces and nephews she adored. Her family was her pride and joy, and she held each of them close to her heart.
Faye's educational journey led her to earn a degree in Social Work, a testament to her commitment to helping others. This passion extended beyond her professional life; she served as the President of the AFL-CIO Union, advocating for workers' rights and community welfare. She was also deeply engaged in local and national politics, standing firm on her beliefs. Faye was a dedicated member of the Moose Lodge and the Homemakers of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, where she made lasting friendships and contributed to the betterment of her community.
A strong-willed and passionate woman, Faye was the glue that held her family together. She was known for her unwavering resilience and dedication, qualities that inspired everyone around her. Her family will remember her as a loving mother, a devoted Mimi, and a wonderful aunt, whose legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone she came across.
In her spare time, Faye enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader, often found engrossed in a good book. Her love for life and her vibrant spirit touched the lives of many, and she leaves behind a legacy of strength and compassion.
Faye Connor will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her indomitable spirit and loving nature will continue to inspire us as we carry her memory forward. A celebration of Faye's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together to honor her remarkable journey and the profound impact she had on all of our lives.
