Faye Custodio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bormann Funeral Home - Melrose Park on Jan. 28, 2026.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Faye Denise Custodio (Ray) on January 25, 2026. She was born on July 18, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, and spent most of her adult life living in Cicero, Illinois.

Faye was a bright light in her community-someone everyone simply adored. She had a gift for connecting with people and was known to stop and talk to everyone, making friends anywhere she was at. Her laugh was infectious and heartwarming. She always had a joke to tell and many times would start laughing before she could even get the joke out. Faye had a tremendous heart and often would find herself helping others wherever she was, whether in stores, restaurants, or even on the street, no matter what she was going through. She had a completely selfless love to give. Faye also had a very talented eye for crafting art and loved making floral arrangements for family and friends. She simply was the very best.

She is survived by her loving husband Andres Custodio, her children Alex Custodio (Stephany), Juliana Suarez Custodio (Jhonathan), Adrien Custodio, her grandchildren Nathaniel Custodio, Valeria Suarez. Her siblings Kathi (Angel), Ben (Debbie), Larry (Vida), Theresa (Dave), Sister in Law Robin, Brother in law W.T. and her beloved pets. Faye Faye was also loved by all of her Nieces, Nephews and extended family and friends.

She had a beautiful spirit that lifted people up when they met her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and laugh will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing her. There aren't enough words to describe how much she was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Maxine Ray and Alton Ray and her in-laws, Andres Custodio Sr. and Carmen Alvarado (Raymond). As well as her siblings Lonita, Marcia (Edward) and Dwight.
