Our Mother, Faye Walls Flory, and saint passed through the curtain into eternity immediately into the presence of her Lord Jesus on December 2, 2025. This has left our family with an ache in our heart, however holding an overwhelming joy knowing that today Mother is pain free … and with a perfect memory. We do have a song in our hearts and tears in our eyes. She IS (present tense) more alive today than ever before experiencing worship, peace, joy, and many reunions!

She entered this world June 17, 1925 in Fort Worth the daughter of the late George H. and Fannie Mae Walls. Mother developed and lived a deep faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a legacy of Christian service. She served God, her family, friends, and many others as a Pastor’s wife and partner, mother of five, and a tireless servant in her churches and communities. Our Mother was indeed a prayer warrior. In each church she was a servant ministering from the youngest to the most seasoned. She worshipped in song each time the church doors were opened. Favorites included “Victory in Jesus” and “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.” Well into her 80’s serving in the nursery; she would rock, pat, and quietly calm crying babies. She was blessed with most beautiful handwriting and was a master at encouraging others through a card ministry to her friends.

God blessed her with an incredible mind graduating as the Valedictorian of the class of 1942 at Lake Worth High. Mother was honored in 2022 with “Faye Flory Day” as the oldest living graduate of Lake Worth HS. She was proud to deliver the season opening game football at midfield to the Bullfrog captains.

Mother married Wayne E. Flory in 1944, a journey lasting 58 years. She prioritized making every house (ten) into a loving home … and poured her life into five children and their extended families. Known for her southern cooking skills, she fed unknown numbers of neighborhood friends young and old, hungry strangers knocking on the front door of numerous parsonages at all times in the day and night, and many special occasions … all on a most frugal budget. It has been stated that she could feed 20 on a pound (really only 0.9#) of hamburger. Early in family life, Mother shopped weekly with her beautiful “sister” Aunt Eunice entering Safeway with $10. She would buy exactly$9.90, holding back one dime for a Golden Book. Gary, Terry, and Eddie took turns sitting in her lap soaking up every word brought to life as she rocked, read, and wore out the pages of fascinating stories.

Mother lived her final 50 years in Saginaw being honored with two “Faye Flory Days” on her 90th and 100th birthdays. She loved her friends and times at the Senior Center. Mother traveled extensively enjoying Creation throughout 49 states and internationally.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers LD, Herbie, and Marvin.

This wonderful Christian lady is survived by and her proud legacy continues through sons Gary (Betty) of Lindale, Terry (Margie) of Iredell, Ed of Ponta, David (Terry) of Azle, and precious daughter Debbie of Fort Worth. 16 grandchildren , 25 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by grandchildren, Ashleigh Grimes, Jacob Finch, and Jeffrey Raindl. She is survived by one brother, Pat Walls of Dallas, plus many loving nieces and nephews.

On the evening of December 2, our Mother heard this from Jesus, “… Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Share your Master’s joy.” Matt 25:21 CSB

Our family wishes to thank the staff of Bristol Park Eagle Mountain for loving kindness and fantastic service showered upon Mother. And, thank you to the Fort Worth Hospice superior staff for the love and ministry lovingly extended.
