Obituary
Mrs. Faye Iris McCullough Quinn, age 94, of 414 C. St., Jonesville, widow of Grover Quinn, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Lake Emory Post Acute Care in Inman surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Quinn was born in Cherokee Co., March 8, 1929, a daughter of the late Ben and Minnie Hawkins McCullough. She retired from JP Stevens where she was honored to be named Mill Queen and later retired from Hardee's in Pacolet as a biscuit maker. Mrs. Quinn was an active member of West Springs Baptist Church serving in various positions in the church. She was the last surviving of six children in her immediate family.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Amber Therrell of Union and Taylor Sumner of Jonesville; and a special "daughter" Sandy Montgomery and husband Bill of Union.
The family would like to say Thank You to the staff and nurses of Gentiva Hospice and Lake Emory Post Acute Care for their care and compassion shown to Mrs. Quinn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel in Union conducted by Rev. Damon Duncan. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home, Union.
Active pallbearers will be Gregg Sanford, Gregory Sanford, Kenny Smith, Richard Lovings and Hal Garner.
