Faye Virginia Middlebrooks

Faye Virginia Middlebrooks, born a February 14, 1941, in Madison, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2025.

Faye was raised by her aunt and uncle, Carl and Catherin (Cat) Bailey, and was the last surviving member of her siblings. She devoted much of her life to hard work and dedication, retiring after 37 years of faithful service from Bibb Manufacturing (Dan Rivers) in Porterdale. In her later years, she lived with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, surrounded by family who loved and cared for her deeply.

A 35-year breast cancer survivor, Faye demonstrated remarkable strength, resilience, and perseverance throughout her life. She was kind and generous, known for her humor, her steadfast love for her family, and her deep affection for her animals-especially her beloved cats and dogs. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, tending to the family lamb flock, and she was an enthusiastic fan of her favorite wrestlers, Jay Uso and Cody Rhodes. Above all else, Faye shared a special and devoted bond with her only grandchild, Mason Garrett, who truly meant the world to her.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandy (Michael) Garrett; her grandson, Mason Garrett; and her cousins, Scott (Monya) Lester, Jane Garland and Randy Lester; several close nephews and many more extended family and friends.

Faye will be missed beyond measure, but we can take some comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is now at peace with no pain holding her back.

A Funeral Service for Faye will be at 1 o'clock on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home with Brother Franklin Rutledge officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these services.
