In Loving Memory and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Faye Maynor O'Connor, who departed this world peacefully on September 11, 2025 surrounded by love and family.

Faye was a woman of fierce strength and unwavering compassion. She lit up every room she entered-not with grandeur, but with genuine warmth, an open heart, and a steady spirit that anchored those around her. Her laughter was a comfort and her love a gift that will always be remembered.

Faye was born on February 10, 1930 in Robeson County, NC, the daughter of Wayne and Lucy Maynor, both lifetime residents of Robeson County. Faye attended Pembroke High School class of 1948. She then went on to business school in Charlotte where she met her future husband William P. O'Connor. After marriage, she lived in Gardena, CA and worked in accounting for Transport Clearing Trucking. She later was a longtime resident of San Pedro, CA where she worked as a doctor's assistant. Faye relocated to Henderson, NV where she served as a hospitality hostess for Caesars Entertainment for nearly 20 years until retirement.

Faye was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was always proud of and professed her Lumbee heritage.

Faye was predeceased by her parents, siblings and daughter, Deborah Marconi. She is survived by her son, Michael (Marie) O'Connor; grandchildren, Matthew (Elizabeth) Marconi; Dr Zachary (Jenny) O'Connor; Alexandra (Dorian) Wolak; Rorry (Brian) Cunningham; and Fallon (Hayden) Baird; and four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Faye's life will be held on September 26th at Pembroke First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be at 2 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. The church is at 100 Breece Street. Burial will follow at Sandcutt Cemetery in Pembroke, N.C.
