Faye Sandefur Rickerson

Mrs. Rickerson passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born May 6, 1937, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph K. Sandefur and Elizabeth Taylor Sandefur. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ten siblings, two of whom passed away in infancy.

Mrs. Rickerson dedicated 32 years in civil service at Robins Air Force Base. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time spent with those she loved. She also found happiness in life's simple pleasures, especially tending her flowers, sewing, preparing meals for family and traveling the world with her husband, Rick.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Willie D. "Rick" Rickerson of Centerville; daughters Sharon Smith of Duluth, Kimberly Brown of Clarkesville, Allyson Lee (Jeff) of Warner Robins, and Melanie Hazen (Dave) of Macon; grandchildren Estela Sjostrom, Rebekah Mejorado, Trey McCleese, Ricky McCleese, Andrew Smith, Brian Smith, and Caden Kipps; step-grandchildren KayLeigh Brown, Christopher Hazen, Tiffany Brown, and Cory Brown; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish her memory.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2026. A visitation will take place one hour prior at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Saturday, March 14, 2026.
