Faye Usher-Ellis

OTTO, Richard William Sr., departed us on December 12, 2008. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Otto, his father Joseph Otto Sr., his brother, Joseph Otto Jr., his grandson Shaun Otto, and his great-grandson, Michael Shaun Nielson. He is survived by his long-time sweetheart, Merrylou Nelson, his son, Richard Otto Jr., of Florida, a daughter Joyce Elliott of Lancaster, a son, Bryan Otto of Lancaster, a daughter, Valerie Anthony of Washington, a step-son, Troy Nelson of Tehachapi, and a step-daughter, Tracy Crowley of Wrightwood, grandchildren Sarah Nielson, Kristina Bonilla, Kevin Elliott, Keith Elliott, Trae Elliott, Amber Otto, Hayley Otto, Lazaro Arredondo, Ashley Ventura, Erika Ventura, Brittany Houghton, Alexis Anthony, Amber Pickering, Taylor Nelson, Tasha Thompson, Troy Nelson, Sarrah Crowley, Sean Crowley, and Shannon Crowley, great-grandchildren Tiffany Bonilla, Kaitlyn Bonilla, Isaac Nielson, Noalanie Nelson, Greg Thompson, Joshua Thompson, Casidy Carter, Kaiden Pickering, Addison Dion and Silas Dion. He was a great teacher to his children and grandchildren alike. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a longtime employee of Lockheed, and Santa Claus 3 years at A.V. Mall. He was a loyal member of the Elks Lodge and of the Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the Elks Camper Club. He was loved and admired by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and our memories of him will be treasured forever. The Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2008, at the Elks Lodge, 240 E. Ave K, Lancaster.
