Felice Carrozza

1932 - 2025

Tupelo - Felice Carrozza, 93 died on Friday, November 14, 2025. He was born on April 10, 1932, in Rivisondoli, Italy. After enduring the hardships of World War II in Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1952. He lived with his aunt and uncle, Cladinora and Donato Jarussi in Pennsylvania. He moved to Ravenna, Ohio where he met and married Nancy Alfonsia Tamburrino on October 22, 1955. He was drafted in the U.S. Navy before he became a U.S. citizen in April 1958. He spent four years in the Navy serving on the USS Hornet in Japan, China, the Philippines and all over the Far East.

In August 1963, he moved with his family to Tupelo to work for R.D. Seating Co. In 1981, he started Carrozza Furniture Manufacturing, Inc., which he owned and operated for over twenty-five years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 49 and the VFW Post 4057. He held many executive committeeman positions in the American Legion Post 49, including serving as Post Commander twice, once in 1979 and again in the early 2000s. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church for 62 years.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Nancy, to whom he was married for 34 years, and his brother, Vinicio Carrozza. He is survived by his sister Maria LeDonne of Rivisondoli, Italy; his daughter, Elisa Carrozza Marus and husband, Ramon, of Memphis; three sons, Ronald Carrozza and wife Allyson of Southaven, Paul Joseph Carrozza of Victorville, California, and Victor John Carrozza of Memphis; six grandchildren, Nicholas Felice Carrozza, Meredith Cristen Carrozza Diener (Evan), Dominic Luciano Carrozza, Joshua Lee Carrozza, Christopher Paul Carrozza and Andrea Katherine Marus Rust (Cameron); and three great grandchildren, Felice Everett Diener, Lily Eleanor Rust, and Donovan David Diener.

The Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be at 10 am on Saturday, November 22 at St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo with Father Timothy Murphy officiating. Pall bearers will be Mike Altom, Joshua Carrozza, Nicholas Carrozza, Benji Rigby, Bill Roberts, and Cameron Rust. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, November 21 at Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel with the Rosary prayed at 6:30 pm.
