Felipa C. Rodriguez, a beloved member of the Fontana community and a dedicated family woman, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, just two days shy of her 83rd birthday She was born on August 23, 1941, in Alta Loma, California, to Miguel and Mary L. Chavez. Felipa's journey through life exemplified strength, grace, and devotion, both to her family and her faith. Felipa graduated from high school and went on to a fulfilling career as an Administrative Assistant for the Fontana United School District. Her commitment to education and her role in supporting the school community were testaments to her character and dedication.
In her personal life, Felipa found joy in various hobbies and interests. Saturdays were often reserved for cherished breakfast outings, and she found peace in crocheting and embroidering. Her inquisitive mind enjoyed the challenge of crossword puzzles, and she cherished moments of excitement at the casino. Felipa was also a very devoted Catholic, whose faith played a central role in her life.
She leaves behind her loving spouse, Andres Rodriguez, and their children Mary Rodriguez-Zauala, Jose Rodriguez, Gloria R. Serna, and Dolores Gomez. Felipa will be deeply missed by her family, including her parents, Mary L. and Miguel Chavez, and her siblings, Mike Chavez, Juanita Andrade, Robert Chavez, Marciela Velasquez, and Daniel Chavez.
Felipa will be remembered not only for her strong familial bonds but also for her kindness and commitment to her community. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Chavez, and her parents Miguel Rodriguez and Mary Lopez who now joins her in eternal rest.
A Mass honoring Felipa's life will take place on September 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by her burial at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery in Colton, California, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her extraordinary life and the lasting legacy of love she has left behind.
Felipa C. Rodriguez will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, missed dearly but remembered with fondness and gratitude.
