Felipe Jugo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home - Farmington on Jan. 28, 2026.
Felipe E. Jugo, M.D., devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather, retired physician, and man of deep faith, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026. He was 88 years old.

Felipe was born on September 13, 1937, in Dagupan City, Philippines. He is the son of the late Jose and Librada Jugo.

Felipe completed his education, attending the University of the Philippines and Far Eastern University Medical School. During his internship he met his loving wife, Juliana. In 1966, he immigrated to the United States in pursuit of opportunity, training, and a life grounded in purpose. He married Juliana on March 2, 1968. Through discipline, perseverance, and faith, Felipe fulfilled his calling in medicine, built a strong and loving family, and lived a life defined by service.

As a physician, Felipe practiced medicine with extraordinary compassion and humility. His bedside manner was warm, personal, and deeply attentive. Through this remarkable care he formed lasting bonds with many of his patients.

Felipe and Juliana made West Virginia their home for 50 years, where they raised 3 daughters, enjoyed being with their grandchildren and made countless memories with friends. They embraced life in Michigan in 2025.

Felipe is survived by his loving wife, Juliana, his daughters, Heidi, Lori, Melissa, sons-in-law Eddie and Jim, 8 grandchildren and siblings, Celestina, Nora, Jerry, and Tony.

A celebration of Felipe's life will take place at Rose Senior Living in Farmington Hills on February 7th, from 2–4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation in honor of his wife Juliana. The link provided will take you to the website to make your donation.
