Felipe Lackey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alamo Funeral Chapel on Mar. 17, 2026.
Felipe Rafael Lackey was called home to the Lord on March 14, 2026. He was born on June 26, 1966. Felipe will be remembered as a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in providing for his family throughout his life.

Felipe worked as an Electrical Technician, a profession that reflected his natural ability to work with his hands and solve problems. He had a deep appreciation for classic trucks, especially Ford trucks, and enjoyed working on them whenever he had the chance. In his spare time, he loved fishing, grilling, and hosting cookouts, bringing family together over good food and laughter. Those moments around the grill were some of the times he enjoyed most.

He was the beloved son of James Preston Lackey and Victoria Rangel Lackey.

Felipe is survived by his loving siblings:

Donny Lackey, Louie Lackey, and Gloria Kay Lackey.

He was preceded in death by his siblings:

Cookie Lackey, Glen Lackey, Wanda Lackey, Billy Lackey, Johnny Lackey, Bobby Lackey, and Zoe Lackey.

Felipe is lovingly remembered by his children:

Marie Elizabeth Esparza Lackey,

Janice Emma Lackey,

Joanna Emaline Lackey,

Amanda Keri Brackeen,

and Felipe Lackey Jr.

He also leaves behind beloved grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy.

Felipe's life was defined by hard work, dedication to his family, and the simple things he loved-being outdoors, working on trucks, fishing, and sharing meals with the people he cared about. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave and the memories shared will remain forever.

May the Lord grant him eternal rest and peace.

"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May he rest in peace. Amen."

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20,2026 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 6:00p.m. at Alamo Funeral Home, 624 N. Alamo, San Antonio, Texas 78215.
