Felix Farria, Jr. (affectionately known as "Jimmy") was born on February 28, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the second of three children born to Felix Farria, Sr. and Marjorie Villa. In 1978, Felix married Jacqueline Theresa Brisco, and they remained united in marriage until she was called home to be with the Lord. That union was blessed with five (5) daughters. Later in life, Felix met Dorothy Ellis, whit whom he shared a great companionship until he was called home to be with his Lord And Saviour.
Felix attended St. Peter Baptist Church in his youth and later became a devoted member of Solid Roch Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his education tharough the Orleans Parish School District, attending Joseph S. Clark Senior High School. He later continued his studies at Sidney Collier Technical College, where he specialized in welding and small engine repair.
Felix proudly joined the United States Army and was depoloyed to serve in the Korean War in the early 1950's. Through his dedication and commitment, he later earned the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1982. During his military service, Felix discovered his passion for the culinary arts, studying to become a professional chef and baker -- a craft that would become his lifelong profession until his retirement from the Fort Bend Independent School District. Felix found great joy in baking, cooking, fishing, hunting, and gardening, and he took immense pride in the legacy he created--his family.
Although Felix made Houstin, Texas his home for more than 30 years, he never forgot his Creole roots and remained a loyal New Orleans Saints fan--though he didn't hesitate to jump on the bandwagon of the Houston Texans when the moment called for it.

Felix was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jacquelyn Brisco Farria, brother Melvin Villa Farria, son Jimmy Farria and daughter Kim Farria Dummas.
