PLATTSBURGH - Fereydon Rahpeymayrad, of Oak Street, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born in Tehran, Iran, on November 29, 1933, the son of Eissa Rahpeymayrad and Masumeh Machinechi. A man of great integrity and dedication, Fereydon graduated from the Iranian Army Academy and went on to serve his country with distinction, rising to the highest rank of Colonel in the Iranian Army. He was a proud and respected member of the Army Officer Corps, admired for his leadership, discipline, and unwavering sense of duty.

On July 3, 1967, Fereydon married Pari Farzinnik, the love of his life, in Tehran, Iran. Together, they built a life filled with love, mutual respect, and devotion to family.

Fereydon was a man of quiet strength and deep kindness, always putting his loved ones first. He had a lifelong passion for photography, capturing the beauty of everyday moments and the world around him. He also found joy in sharing thoughtful conversations, traveling with family, enjoying good food, and watching classic movies.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Pari Farzinnik; his son, Vismand Rahpeymayrad; his daughter, Noroja Rahpeymayrad, and her husband, Omid Moosavi; and his precious grandchildren, Rojina Rahpeymayrad and Nirvan Moosavi, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

His gentle spirit, wisdom, and warmth will live on in their hearts forever.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A graveside service will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
