Fern Gershone Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 7, 2025.
Fern Gail Nacht Gershone, of Edina, was born June 9, 1952, and died on December 5, 2025, at the age of 73. Fern was a beloved wife, mom, sister, baubie, auntie, cousin, and friend. Preceded in death by parents, Nathan and Miriam Nacht. Survived by husband, Ernie; children, Carly (Kenyon), Steven (Adele), and Molly (Jeremy); brothers, Larry (Ella) and Gary (Lin Marie); grandchildren, Adam, Emily, Lior and Nina; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she cherished.

Fern loved true crime, shopping, a good off-color joke, and a nice piece of walleye. She was a lifelong learner, becoming a bat mitzvah at age 45 and earning her master's degree at 46. Fern was a wonderful storyteller, bringing light, wit, and warmth to every person she encountered. She worked most of her career in Human Resources management, primarily in health care settings where she made many lifelong friends. After retirement, she became a certified mediator, helping people resolve disputes in housing and harassment courts.

Fern felt the massive outpouring of love from many during her time in hospice and maintained her impeccable humor and grace until her peaceful passing surrounded by family. Drive carefully, Fernie, Fersch, Mom, and Baubie. We will miss you lots.
